Magical Christmas Wedding
This weekend, my son and I were honored to provide music at a lovely wedding. I have been mentioning to my husband all weekend how much I enjoyed the wedding ceremony and how absolutely beautiful and meaningful it was. I wanted to share with our blog readers just a few things that this wedding couple did that made their ceremony a joy to attend.
They included people that truly loved them and mattered to them. My son, Josh, was a student in the bride’s class that she student-taught over two years ago. Still, she remembered him and included him. She also invited her current students to the wedding and provided a special cake reception for them. Several musicians were involved in the ceremony, but there was no jealously or competition, as it was all about the bridal couple!
The bride and groom made their faith a central part of the ceremony and included meaningful symbols and traditions. So many wedding ceremonies feel as if the participants are “going through the motions”. Not this one. Every part of the ceremony was carefully planned and executed lovingly.
Care was put into the details, and the wedding was formal, but not at all stuffy. This lovely celebration of love, faith, and family was the most perfect start to my Christmas weekend.
